looking for assistance with tire sizes

I really like the look of bigger, wider tires in the back of a truck and skinnier, smaller tires in the front. I have the stock steel,15x5's on my truck now. I am considering keeping those in the front and maybe doing 15x7's or 15x8's in the back. I plan on doing wide whites with baby moons. I don't want to have the tires sticking out passed the fender though in the back.

Can anyone suggest tires sizes for the front or the back this style setup? This is a stock suspension as well.

This is similar to what I am looking for. I probably would not go as wide in the back as in this photo though.

Try looking here for tips on how to measure: https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html

There are plenty of steel wheels out there that will have the right bolt pattern. It turns out that some Jeeps use the same 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern that we use.

A 15x8 with 4.5" BS should fit in there just fine, that was what I had before going to 15x10 w/4.5" BS with a narrowed by 4" diff.. I was running 265/60x15. You would have to check on size availability on the wide whites. Go with the tallest tire with about 8" of tread for the 15x8 to fill the well, to sit flat and look right.

Hello jhaas63,

I just got my wide white walls and I am very happy with the difference these tires, along with some of the other upgrades I have made to my truck. Mainly, changed the ring & pinion to 308 gears and now with these 29 inch tires, there is much less noticible road noise PLUS I get to cruise at lower RPMs...
I'm loving it, even if I have only driven less than 10 miles with my new rubber and gears.

Th rims are 15x7 and the tires I can not recall and the paperwork is not available to me at the moment. But I'm sure you are on the right track to making your baby the way you want it... I hope I have given you inspiration at the very least.

Paul

Man oh man...

I have been pricing some wheels and tires...brutally high pricing.

I think I am going to stay with the original wheels and go with some L78-15's, wide whites. I have some of them on there now and they look pretty good.
