R U THINKING ABOUT DELETING AND IT'S IMPACT, READ THIS
i have owned my truck for 3.5 years now. Did oil changes every 5000 and at one point adopted a radical oil program that had me adjusting the oil every 1000 miles. Still I had oil dilution and wear that I considered abnormal. At 40,000 miles I got tired of the dilution and deleted the DPF. I now have 15,000 miles deleted. attached are the last two oil analysis reports from Blackstone. I rest my case.

Yeah, it's a tough call but I made it thinking what's the benefit of preserving the warranty on a truck that's gonna have major internal damage soon after the warranty expires. It was also a tough call to not return to stock and buy the Ford ESP. But now it's past those times and I'm rolling status quo. Except I'm thinking I might upgrade to one of those pretty all color tuners and maybe something for the EGR.

My EGR is still working. My Edge tuner doesn't do anything to the EGR. The H&S shuts the EGR down, probably Spartan also. if I wanted to block mine off I'd need a different tuner to keep from throwing a code. I'm thinking more along the lines of a Bullit Proof EGR to replace the horizontal. That's the one that has problems I think. My thinking there is that someday I'm gonna have to trade or sell this truck and I will want to at least be able to return it to stock.

I'm ready to 'delete' and have been out of warranty almost 2 years now.
If I could ever get a straight "what you have to do" I might just move forward with it. Seems to be competing theories on what to remove/replace. I don't like experimenting.
I've seen options as simple as a "test pipe" or "racing pipe" that replaces the DPF & a chip. I've seen folks to say you have to replace the muffler system, egr system and a chip. I'm not made of money & I'm mainly frustrated by the lack of clarity on what to do.
I welcome any pearls of wisdom or suggestions.

You should also be able to run some pretty hot tunes.
If you want to race, or get every last HP out of the engine, you'll want a full exhaust kit, air intake etc.

yep, just a tuner and a pipe. I'll make it easy for you. Go on ebay, motors/parts and accessories/ford/DPF delete. You will then have a bunch of ads telling you what you need and what it cost. Or you can look around like I did for a used tuner. They are out there, you just need to look. If you find one just make sure it has a DPF delete function, then go and order the pipe. I promise you that when you start the truck for the first time without the DPF on there you will have a "Holy chit" moment.
