So I get a vibration when braking at highway speed intermittently. I would think that it was warped rotors as it feels very similar. However, its not always there, and sometimes if I brake and its there, if I let off and reapply the brakes it goes away. It seems to be worst after longer periods of driving, but does also happen during short trips too. Ball Joints and tie rods are in good shape.....any other ideas?
I've been told that it can be a little bit of pad chatter until they bite and seat. Happens to be at highway speeds as well, but not on a consistent basis.
Like you said in your post...apply, let off, reapply. Seems to be the only way to keep my chatter at bay. Doesn't happen if you just hammer on them from the get-go, only if you feather into them.
