Installed weather stripping today but there's a gap...

I installed weather stripping from Dennis Carpenter today on the passenger side door on my 1966 F100. When the door is closed there's a gap on the top left corner. Has anyone else had this happen? How to fix?

Thanks

First be sure the hinges are in order and the door is lined up in the cab. The hinge bolts on the cowl line up the door with the fender and back of the cab. If this adjustment is okay, carefully grab the top of the door and holding it open with your knee pull (bend) the top of the door in a bit. I'd open the vent window so you don't crack it. A 2x4 wrapped in rags propped against the door just below the window and the transmission hump will also work.

Here's some pics. It looks like it's aligned pretty well. I might have to try what William describes above... Just don't want to do any irreversible damage...

It looks pretty good as far as alignment, it would suck to bend the door top in to make the seal and make The top of the door out of wack. Last time I did one, I tossed the stock style stuff and used some universal stuff from my upholstery store that is shaped like "Uo" same style is used on the mid 90 f150's worked great and. Didnt have to fight the seal when closing the door.

If I decide to try to adjust the doors, it's just a matter of loosening the three bolts on the hinges and moving it around, right? Any tips or tricks?

Thanks

Don't loosen them up a whole bunch, just bust them all loose on the top and give the door a bump then slowly open door and retighten

Thats simple. The top of the door is out too far. Just adjust . . .
