INJECTORS OR GLOW PLUGS Where do I buy??

We are pretty sure I am gonna need injectors or glow plugs. Where is the best place to buy stock injectors. I do have an sct tuner running it on economy for good fuel mileage.

Your talking rapid separation of money from wallet.
What leads you to believe ALL of your injectors AND glow plugs are gone?

Check your voltage while cranking. It MUST BE AT LEAST 10.5 to fire the injectors.
If that is good next check the regular culprits...
Cps - cam position sensor
Ipr - injector pressure regulator
Gpr - glow plug relay

Have you checked all your fuses... ?

Try turning the key to the run position and let the wait to start light go out...
Wait for fuel pump to stop..
Then arc the poles on the starter selonoid.

Ok. Last April I noticed with the truck plugged in it would not start. I had a work truck and decided to park the truck. So I lost my job in Aug of this year and needed to drive my vehicle. I did drive it over the summer at least twice a month. Any rate my truck would not start without either on a 60 degree day. So I researched online and here and ended up checking the voltage on my Glow Plug relay. It was bad. I replaced it and problem solved. however it ran rough for at least 10 minutes until it warmed up with the new GPR. So then this last Friday it would not start and I used eather. It started and ran rough for like 15 plus minutes. In all occasion's the trucks runs fine once warming up. A guy on here earlier, an employee at powerstroke help's shop said glow plugs possibly or injectors, swamps diesel says injectors for sure. So thats why

Riffraff Diesel: Motorcraft Glowplugs for glow plugs

Riffraff Diesel: New Alliant Stock Injectors for injectors

Don't go with any other glowplugs, many have used other brands and had trouble with them, stick with motorcraft

Those were links, they have the price for each. $1600 8 for injectors and $85 for 8 glow plugs. Chris wasn't kidding when he said injectors are a serious wallet opener.

Why #8 injector... I hope they understand it will fail a contrubution test quite often because of the LL injector in #8...

Still should not need glow plugs at all in 60* weather.

So the glowplug didnt fix the issue? and or block heater being jacked up? Sorry im kind of confused by your most recent post, the more info you give these guys the faster, easier, most likely cheaper they can find you a solution.

Just to sum this up:

-Truck wont start w/o the aid of starting fluid (in your case ether)
-The GPR you replaced worked temporarily (but still ran rough until warm)
-You came to the conclusion that a glowplug was bad, as well as the block heater being jacked up, fixing both of these didnt help?

Just to tell you what everyone else is gonna tell you, get codes pulled and run the tests . Its easy to throw money at these things, and more often than not your just replacing a part that didnt need to be. Im by no means an expert but with some patience and compliance these guys will get you up and running more than likely with a few extra dollars in your wallet

A shop in Joliet Il has it. He determined that all the Glow Plugs but one were bad. "Replacing all of them" And he tested the injectors and showed that #8 was bad. He said it's clean but the buzz and contribution test showed failure. Also my block heater was not working. The wire that goes into the block was cut or something but he fixed that. These guys all drive 7.3's and seem to be pretty smart. I have been around trucks my whole life. I owned a Landscape company for 18 years and have dealt with lots of shops. I personally know 2 people that go to this guy and reviewed him on google.

Save your cash and do them yourself! I was charged 2.300.00 for 8 injectors and 8 glow plugs. I could have saved at least 1,000.00 If i did it myself. Its not too hard with all the detailed write ups!
