Thx
Yea she's a beauty, very intimidating stance compared to my 09. Was funny, on the way home nobody dared try and pass me on the highway. It was like they were afraid of the truck
As far as rear end, it was the 3.73's. I wanted the 4.30's but they only had 2 gasser DRW's and the other one had the 3.73's as well and was essentially a work truck so I didn't even bother with that one.
Just couldn't justify the extra expense and maintenance cost of the PSD for my usage. I only tow in the summer so I'm sure this will do just fine. One nice thing about having a longbed is now I can sell my 5ver if I want and get a nice stout truck camper and still be able to tow a small trailer. Won't need to upgrade to a larger 5th wheel toy hauler.
As far as the fuel economy, what can you expect from a gasser HD. I didn't buy it strictly for MPG, else I woulda got an ecoboost F150.

I was just happy to find one in the Lariat trim and it happened to be in a color scheme that I liked. Our stock availability fluctuates wildly from year to year, both of our ford dealerships either order all diesel, or all gas trucks and never a good split between the two. Right now almost all of our 250/350's on the lot are 6.7 PSD's so I was glad to find at least one 6.2L gasoline DRW. Conversely, when I bought my 09, almost all of the trucks on the lot were 5.4L gassers.

In any event, just got back from the stealership and got a decent deal. Got just about 10K off sticker with 0% APR. They gave me a good trade in on my 09 F250 5.4L so my new payment is actually came out less than my old truck so I'm happy.
6.2L F350 DRW Lariat 4x4 CrewCab. Drives great, can't wait to see how it pulls my trailer. Unfortunately I just stowed my 5th wheel for the winter so I won't get to try it until next May. I suppose it is better anyway not to tow during the new vehicle "break in" period.

Congrats on the NEW truck! Looks great!

Thanx, drove it to work last night, on way home the freeway was empty so I decided to get up on it and see what she had, got a big grin across the face for my first 6.2 WOT experience. Really loved the aggressive note coming from the exhaust pipe which surprised me considering how quiet the stock exhaust system is. I didn't like how my mileage went down to about 2 mpg tho I am just loving this truck. Only bummer so far is that I didn't get any rubber floor mats. I mean in a truck this expensive, how can that not be a standard item???? Ridiculous! I even got the Lariat trim so there is no excuse for that. Had to go out to O'Reily's and get a generic set of rubber mats because winter is coming and I don't want to trek snow all over the carpet, but they have a lingering rubber smell which is distracting. Ford wants about 90 bucks for the OEM Super Duty mats.......... sigh....

Weeeeeee, dealer let me get back into my old truck and reflash the PCM to stock so my tuner would unpair from the old truck's VIN. Just ordered a high octane performance tune and a economy tune to try out on the new truck. Waiting for Mike @ 5startuning to email them over. Can't wait to see how she drives tuned. I know my 09 5.4L had a HUGE difference with the 91 octane tune.

Had some problems getting my SCT tuner loaded with the new tunes from 5star. After eventually getting the tuner completely wiped, restored and updated, got the new 6.2L economy and performance tunes ready to go.
Tried out the performance tune first (of course )...... just backed out of the drive and barely feathered the throttle and she took off Couldn't believe how peppy the truck was with the new tune. It was early in the AM here so I merged onto the highway to test the tune. I had the needle pointing past the 100 mph mark pretty quick but backed it off because I know these big trucks shouldn't be going that fast. Still, nice to know the passing power is there if I need it. I just can't believe a big gas powered 1 ton can be that responsive, very impressed. Now honestly, I can't say I was impressed with the mileage on the perf tune. Just buzzing around for mixed highway city on my test run I was getting approx 9 mpg, though I was being abusive with the gas pedal.
The econ tune was a pleasant surprise. I took a 10 mile spin on the highway and saw 20 mpg briefly but it came back down to earth at 14.4 mpg driving mostly @ 65 mph which I found acceptable. Just for comparison I was getting anywhere from 11-12.5 mpg bone stock on my initial mileage. I have 300 miles on the truck and expect the numbers to get better as the truck is broken in.
I knew this truck was going to be bad on gas but I didn't buy it for that so I can't complain. Honestly if I can maintain 12 mpg overall with mixed city/hwy I would be happy. I was getting worse than that with my 5.4L 09 F250. When I traded the 250 in my trip counter was reading 10.8 mpg.
