Saw this on an ag forum. Either the farmer has a bunch of money or he knows what he is buying.

As much as I love these 7.3 trucks, for 42 grand I would be looking at a 2011, or 2012.

10 years old................... NO WAY.

As much love as we have for the 7.3l, Sheldon is spot on. You can get something a lot newer. Hell, you can lease and always have a new one for a long time for that kind of $$$$.

It could be one of those 7.3's with the new 08' front end, newer style dash etc. I've seen a few of those going for $45 and are being bought quickly.

Or did have, Tom. As much as I like my '03 7.3 I would definitely go for a 6.7 for that kind of money.

One sale does not set the market.

True, but it is definitely a trend. See a lot of 7.3l trucks priced higher than the 08-10 trucks.

They are like GOLD to some people. They are not classics yet.... are they???

Its an International built motor. Ford built the truck, and changed a few things around on the motor.

I've had a couple people seriously ask if my truck was for sale in the recent past. I usually just say "No" and leave it at that. I should offer the next person a high price and see if they take me up on it. Heck, might grab me a new 6.7 with the sale proceeds and some extra pocket change.
