2011 F250 Mirror Help

I have a 2011 F250 6.7 Lariat FX4. I bought the truck about 2 months ago and the passenger side mirror was busted. My mirrors are the chrome capped power fold, power telescoping, heated, w/memory and light. I bought a set of Ebay that are factory Ford OEM but after I installed them a check engine light came on. Took the truck to my local dealership and the code it had thrown was the ambient air temperature sensor. Come to find out the sensor is in the passenger mirror. So I looked at my broken mirror and I see where the sensor is on the bottom of the mirror. The mirror I bought off ebay doesn't have this. My question is am I going to have to get a new mirror or can I somehow take the sensor out of the old mirror and put it in the new mirror or can the sensor be moved? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If there is no place for the sensor in the new mirror you bought, then yes, it sounds like you will need to buy another mirror that either has the sensor, or the place for the sensor. If the mirror you have is power telescopoing/folding/heated, etc., I can't believe it doesn't also have a place for the sensor, but I don't really know.
