I've had fantastic luck with the 6.0s. Just blank off the freaking awful EGR cooler, install a better downpipe, keep the cooling system flushed, and oil changed, and they will live a very very long time. I've got one with 230,000 that I have done nothing but regular maintenance on since I bypassed the EGR cooler.

I had one that was puking coolant, so i did gaskets and ARP studs, and remove the EGR cooler, and its a very happy truck now as well.
