61 f100

so i picked up a f100 and i was trying to run the motor numbers on it does anyone know where or how to read them c3 ae-6015 ac thanks for the help guys

post the info off your warranty tag on the glove box door. And post this question in the engine forum for your engine. Someone will be along shortly to help with more information.

If the model year and block number are correct then it's not original so the warranty tag won't help.
Do you have even the slightest idea which motor it is and are you sure you're reading those digits right?

This is a 1963 block casting number. It's a foundry mark only, cannot be cross referenced to a Ford part number.

The 4th digit of the VIN is the engine code. 1961 F100: C = 292 2V / J = 223 1V I-6.
