reverse sensors in rear bumper

Does anyone have the part numbers off hand? I remember reading somewhere that the inners and outers have different part numbers.

Also, are they the same for all Excursions. I need to know for a 2000 and a 2005 (one bad on each truck).

Also, how do they come off.

I don't have the part number but I will take ur bad ones. I added a bumper off a 2011 an it has the holes but my truck didn't. I have found one off an expedition and it fit the retainer for the 2011. I believe they r all the same.

How about what it takes to install them on a truck that does not have them at this time?

Here ya go 3F2Z-15K859-BA. I bought one on eBay for $37 shipped. Installed it the other day, worked like a charm. Amazon has them for $29 with $10 shipping. To install, remove wiring harness, I used a small screw driver then get a smallish blunt instrument and place on the sensor and give a good hard tap with a hammer and it will pop out, actually in towards the inside of the bumper. Then just pop the new one in from the rear of the bumper and plug in. You only need the inner sensor, not the retaining housing unless it's broken.

They have a release clip on the back side squeeze and pull out, can be tough to do on on the inner ones - little space.

The inner sensors are a bit harder to get to, that's why I used the method of tapping out from the front. After tearing up my arm getting the wiring harness undone I wasn't in the mood to get to the retaining clips from the rear. I have read about others doing the same without issue. I will admit I was nervous about damaging the retainer so I carefully tapped out the sensor from the front. It popped right out and I was able to snap the other in from the rear easily. maybe not the proper way, but it worked like charm, especially on the inner sensor. It probably took me 10-15 minutes to figure it out and get it done. Keep in mind that I had never done it before and was winging it. Good luck.

Let us know if it works. I'm still looking for a broken one that still looks good. I just need to fill the hole.
