Right now the truck will start ,but won't stay running . I am thinking air . He plans on cracking the fuel return lines to get the air out ..Also waiting on a wrecker to get him off the highway .

It sounds like he is making progress.

It sounds like a case of air contamination to me as well. He doesn't have a cracked fuel line or pickup does he? Has he changed tanks?

Hopefully it gets going. I am by googles estimation 5 hours and 18 minutes away...

What help is he looking for? other than the knowledge everyone here can supply.
Does he require tools... parts...a flatbed haul home?

I'm almost out of work. I have a 5th wheel flatbed i could bring down there tonight. Itd be late obviously. I may call him after work cuz if it gets much later that'd be a hell of a haul late after working at 630 this am

Update ...

He is up and running .. turns out his final filter was the reason it wasn't running right after the pump began to work . He bypassed it for now & all is good . It was more than likely the reason the pump went out in the first place . He asked me to tell every one thanks for the input ...

Good news! Really didn't feel like driving that haul but if it woulda saved him some big money i woulda. Ain't like I'm doing anything too important. Helping friend fix his 6.0 lmao!

Believed or not I thougth in the filters, but reading that the pump doesnt work even from a supply of an external source, just shyponing (spl?), I said, its not the filter

The best thing is that all is OK, I also tried to rep people but Im in Jail. and is wonderful the help in this the best forum ever
