I don't think there is enough soap on this planet to get my truck that nice looking.... but I could swap almost every single body panel and get it there.

Very nice looking truck.

Trust me it has its fair share of dings and dents, just not visible in these pics I guess.

Thanks though.

Also, here's my other ride, you may appreciate it Aaron, 06 Jetta Tdi DSG

I think the only way I can get more is if I rolled it. I think only my drivers side doors (PO replaced) and the roof are the only things that don't have dents/scraches.

I'll try to add pics to my garage tomorrow before work (starts at 1430).

We are double diesel as well- 2000 7.3 PSD and 2012 Passat TDI, and double VW as well, the 2012 Passat TDI and 1991 Fox GL (the Fox is my daily driver, the Passat is the wife's primary and the truck mainly for the 5th wheel trailer)

Haha, until recently my DD was a 1986 Jetta 1.6 na diesel. Seems there's a common bond here.

How's that new Passat? we test drove one a couple of times and were real tempted by it. Was a NICE car. In the end, we just avoided a car payment.

Robert6401- We really like the Passat TDI, it is really big compared to the Jetta, and the fuel economy is just fantastic, you can routinely get 48-50 on the highway (at 70mph) and a solid 36 in town. The fit and finish is great. Had been contemplating for several months, the dealer had a hard time getting them, waiting lists, etc. We happened to visit at just the right time when one was there so we jumped on it. Ended up with a black SE with Sunroof. Got the windows tinted, weathertech window deflectors, a ruff-tuff custom dash cover, mud flaps. I need to get a pic with both VW's like you, although the 1991 Fox looks like crap it runs solid with 225k on the odometer.

Its a 2009 335QBQ. It has been good to us. A few minor issues, but nothing major. Have fun on your trip!

That sounds great. We really liked the size of the Passat, it is surprisingly roomy. The 06 Jetta is bigger than the previous years' body style, but it still gets cramped at times.

Thanks, I hadn't noticed the Denny's sign until you pointed it out. The pic was taken at a Flying J that we stop at all the time in Brunswick, GA.

About 108,000 on the 06 Jetta. I recently sold the 86, it was right around 175,000 and I see the guy I sold it to driving it back and forth to work often.

Just to keep this a little more off-topic, washed and waxed the TDI this evening.
