Hello all,

I have a 239 FHV8 with a T98 Tranny and dual speed rear axle.
Sometimes and usually at a slow speed and\or around corner it jumps gear and grinds from the rear as opposed to underneath me.

Because this dual speed axle is managed by the engine vacuum could the air compression be the issue as opposed to the transmission or gears in the axle?

You should have the highest vacuum going around corners or at slow speed, but it sounds likely the hose is rotten or something.
