Purchasing a 2002 Ford Excursion V10 4wd?

A co-worker offered to sell me his 2002 Ford Excursion XLT V10 4wd with 62,000 miles for $15,000. It has leather interior and new tires. I understand gas mileage on the v10 is horrible but other than that, is that a fair price?

Thanks!

That's less than KBB dealer trade-in. Probably gonna take more than that.

I thought it was high also since nada was $12,787.00. He said due to the low mileage and it is in excellent condition. I was thinking $10k was reasonable.

Where are you located ,,,if it's in good shape that sounds like a good price to me, here in new jersey they have a v10 with about 60,000 miles that they are asking $29,000 for, I know they ain't gonna get that but they're not gonna go down $15,000 either,

Thanks for the suggestions! $10-$12 seems very reasonable just making sure I wasn't the only one who thought $15 was excessive.

Get it if you need it. $11K, save the extra $ for gas.

For $15K, you better check below the hood and make sure a 7.3 isn't there. If you find a V10, not more than $10K...

I have my X and TT up for sale right now. I have the X listed for $12,250 OBO. The reason im at that price is it has low mileage (70k) and it has the 4.30's and has been over maintained since i bought it. Try finding a clean low mileage X for less than 10k. Not gonna happen easily. Otherwise just go out and buy a brand new '13 X. I also know that will not happen!

May i draw your attention to this website? How are the conversions built?

With enough money you can have a '13 X
