Tranny fill plug ?

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get this out? A couple of years ago the guy that I had change the clutch thought he would check the fluid level F---d it up, I was shocked because I had it out just a few months before and I didn't tighten it as tight as it was when I got it out. I know I can fill it through the shifter but I would like to get it out.

^^ 2X I would try a hammer and a small, sharp chisel. Get a bite on the outside edge of it and you should be able to get it to work loose. That is, as long as you can get a chisel and hammer in there to it...

mig weld a nut on it. the heat will expand the plug and the aluminum case, let cool a few minutes and put a box wrench on it and remove it.

Was the man who damaged it not honest and up front about the damage? If so, why didn't he make it right?

Are you changing the fluid ? If you are, loosen some bolts on the PTO cover and drain it.

Thanks for all the comments. I think the best one is to weld onto it with the tig, but thats not an option for me as I don't have one or know how to use it.
Hussler i've thought of grinding a slot in it and may try that. If that doesn't work i'll go to the chissel and hammer. I do have access to an acetylene torch, would it be helpful to heat the aluminum around the plug or both or just the plug?l I would have answered this thread sooner but been out of town where I have no internet available .

Slot makes the most sense to me, since it's sticking out a little from the surface of the case. Should be enough to cut a slot or two around the perimiter, deep enough so you can put a screwdriver or chisel in it at an angle and tap it with a hammer.

I wouldn't waste your time with the grinder and just get the chisel and hammer out. A sharp chisel will make its own slot and even with the slot in there I doubt you will be able to spin it out with a screwdriver. Plus the impact of the hammer and chisel will help jar it loose...
