frame swap

i have a 1992 f-150 with a 4 inch lift but wanna go bigger. i can get a 70s frame with dana 60s 10 inch lift an 44s . i was jus wondering how hard it would b to put my body on that frame

Not bad it you want to make all new body mounts and engine mounts. Would be alot easier to use the 70s axle and lift in your truck and it still will NOT be a bolt in deal

What engine do you have and what engine does the 70s have?

i have 302 carb from 83 already swapped in my truck not sure if that will fit an the bigger frame has no drivetrain an i think its a 78 79

But the 70s had some sort of engine, and unless it was a 302 or 351W, (both unlikely), you will need different frame perches And you cant swap yours from the 92

ah kk , pretty sure it was a 460. So i would need to put a 460 back in it or would i b able to do a 390 or sumthin. if i have to i could put a 460 in it as we have one in a motor home i have access to numerous ford parts i work for two different scrap yards i buillt the hole truck from one yard in 2.5 years oh an thanks for the info buddy

The black truck you show pics of is NOT a 92. It is 87-91

Like I said, take the AXLES from the 78/79 and put them in your truck

lol its a mix of seven truck 88 to 92 its titled as a 91 lol and one van for the driveshaft and carb

if i swap the axles over to my frame i would need to take the steering box an all the steering stuff off the old frame too right

No. Just rear axle/springs
front axle/springs/ hangers. You keep your 92 steering box

Look up SAS for F150
