i have a 1992 f-150 with a 4 inch lift but wanna go bigger. i can get a 70s frame with dana 60s 10 inch lift an 44s . i was jus wondering how hard it would b to put my body on that frame
Not bad it you want to make all new body mounts and engine mounts. Would be alot easier to use the 70s axle and lift in your truck and it still will NOT be a bolt in deal
i have 302 carb from 83 already swapped in my truck not sure if that will fit an the bigger frame has no drivetrain an i think its a 78 79
But the 70s had some sort of engine, and unless it was a 302 or 351W, (both unlikely), you will need different frame perches And you cant swap yours from the 92
ah kk , pretty sure it was a 460. So i would need to put a 460 back in it or would i b able to do a 390 or sumthin. if i have to i could put a 460 in it as we have one in a motor home i have access to numerous ford parts i work for two different scrap yards i buillt the hole truck from one yard in 2.5 years oh an thanks for the info buddy
