Thinking about using an F5 as tow rig?

Im toying with using an F5 as tow rig for my Bronco and Jeeps, I found a truck that I bet has not moved in 20 or more years, would need a full resto. Was thinking about a f5 cab and older sleeper to mach, Then some kind of inclined flatbed up and over the sleeper. want to use a 6bt or dt360.

Both engines are found in school buses what if I just bought a whole bus and set the cab, sleeper and bed on the school bus frame?

Tell me what you all think. please shoot my idea full of holes! want to work the bugs before I start buying parts.

Setting the sheetmetal onto a new frame w/newer drivetrain is the best decision if you want to use it as a tow rig. Otherwise, the stock truck won't provide you with the requirements needed for towing on today's roads.

The advantage this plan has over most guy's pickup frame swaps is that larger truck and bus chassis' are typically flat, similar to the stock frame, making it easy for custom body applications. Motorhomes can work well sometimes, too. It all depends on the donor chassis and the work necessary to modify all the parts associated to fit. Some will undoubtedly work better than others. This is a place where doing extensive homework will pay dividends.
