54' Axel Location

54' Axel Location
Can someone please verify where the axel is located on the 1954 frame. I'm about to weld in a step notch and I have a few faint lines drawn around the axel/bump stop location from a few years back. I had dismantal pics on my computer and the file accidentally got deleted a few years back so I dont have those pics to refer too anymore. I just want to be sure before cutting and welding that I will be getting the step notch centered correctly. I'd appreciate if someone could verify where the original axel was located.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Here are some dimensions from Earl's World.
Scroll down toward the bottom to get dimensions for a 53, which should be the same as the 54. This might not get you all the way, but it should get you closer.

Thanks for the reply. I've seen that chart and it doesn't give me the location. Unfortunatly it covers every location but that. I would assume it should be centered below the bump stop mount hole but since I don't have my original info just want to check before making an irriversable mistake.

Thanks Truckeemtnfords. That's what I thought but wanted to confirm since I installed the 4 link a few years back and my axel lines up about just a little rear of the bump stop as it is now. It would have been nice to not have lost the dismantal file I had, however most of the time I can either find pics on line or search here for what I need. For some reason this info was not coming up in text or pictures. Thanks again both of you.
