Just got the headers back from Jet-Hot. Got the titanium color in the 2000F coating. It looks pretty good, tomorrow I'll put all the exhaust and intake stuff together and post another pic

I got the intake and exhaust manifold stuck on this morning. I used a Remflex manifold gasket, it seems very high quality.
I also mocked up all the piping for the intake. I never pictured it in my head being this cluttered, but baffle them with B.S, right?
I don't have the downpipe in yet, im waiting for some more parts in the mail before that does in.

I'll work on it when I get off the rest of the week, and as long as there aren't any major issues, I should get it at least idling this weekend. I'm hoping to take it for a few low/nonboosted test drives.

I also picked up a Stage 1 Snow Performance Methanol/Water injection kit to keep this thing from losing it's cool.

 

That is very cool to see. So many propose turbo builds so it's exciting to see one done. That's quite the piping under the hood!

I got it running this morning, I need to fix a couple fuel leaks yet. I took it for a drive and so far it seems all right. Revving it sitting still makes a real nice turbo whistle out of the exhaust pipe like a diesel haha. Had me giggling like a schoolgirl.
Haven't put it under boost yet, I need to pull the carb and rejet it and I think I need to order a different powervalve for the holley....I know I have a cheap gauge but it shows 30" vacuum at idle and I have a 6.5 powervalve in it now.
My AFR readings were all over hell but I didn't hear any detonation even at 18:1.

Oh well, so begins the tedious process of tuning a blow-through.

Ok so I recorded a slow roll to 70mph acceleration video at 5psi.
Make sure you watch it in 1080 HD otherwise you won't be able to see anything.

 

Man, that sounds like it's barely doing anything at all, until you watch the speedometer!
