1953 f750 big job marmon herrington 4x4 restoration almost done. new to the forum

hey guys i just signed up. im not sure how to post pics if someone can help me ill post photos of truck.
after a 2 and a half year restoration im only a few days from being done.
the truck is a 1953 f750 big job with a marmon herrington 4x4. the truck was ordered by the city of boston new with a snowblower on the front. it had a harness fire in the late 50's and was put in storage for the next 25 years. truck has 4900 orignial miles.
i striped the truck put a new utility box on it built custom bumpers and light bar tower and a fuel transfer tank painted truck and boxes white front fenders red bumpers black.

There anyone here who has a 4x4 big job?

Welcome to FTE!

Here's one way to post pics that works:

Go to Photobucket and sign up for a free account. Then create an album for your truck. Upload any pics you want to post on FTE to that album. Have this album open on your computer when you want to post pics on FTE.

While you're making a post on FTE, select the pic you want to post from your Photobucket album. When the large version of the pic is open, right mouse click on it and select "View Image Info". The image info will be highlighted and will look something like this:
http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...ghtsafter1.jpg

Copy that highlighted info (right click / copy).

When you have the spot in your post where you want the pic to be placed, select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post (looks like a mountain) and paste (right click / paste) the image info you copied in the highlighted box (just shows "http://" when it opens).

Your pic will be placed in the post.

Hope that helps.

Welcome to the forum.

While I was searching for this thread (https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...-pictures.html) Joe posted. Between the two you should be able to post some pictures. Looking forward to them!

I think Chuck of Chucks trucks has a big job? cant remember though? maybe it was a F6 ?
Chuck and Stu are some of our MH wizards here. I bet they can smell this thread and will be here shortly...

plenty of other f-5 f6 and smaller MH truck owners here too.

FTE'er 1952henry is our resident expert. I don't know if you can send him a private message, but you can try. There are some things which require a minimum number of posts (like searching) on FTE. But I found this by Googling FTE Marmon Herrington.

And there's Stu McMillan (truckdog62563) as well as Chuck4850.

EDIT: I see you beat me to it, Josh...

Wow! those look fantastic! Super find.

And I thought my truck was tall. At least I can see into the engine bay without a ladder. I can't work on anything, but I can see the motor... That's really up there!

And I really like the stacks.

thats a beautiful truck! like the red and white. what engine did that truck have in it, and is it still the original engine?

wonder if you could incorporate some blue paint somewhere on the utility box some where? red white and blue..... or maybe just some red around the wheel well trim or??

cheers

Josh

yes it is the original motor its a lincoln industrial 317 has 4900 miles on the drive train all i did was regasket the motor just to make sure i wouldnt start to have leaks.
i also have a 50's era 11' plow restored to go on the front part of the bumper i built a plow frame in that just looks like a big push bumper with a grill guard
