I ordered new door seals and the window anti-rattle kit, but not glass. i have good and front glass, but side and vent windows are ok at best. so all six pieces of my glass have the "Ford" script shown in the picture.

are the common? reproduced?

 

That's the original etching in the glass. There are some vendors that will etch the new glass with the same logo, but for an extra cost.

 

Probably the best known is Sanders Reproduction Glass. I've chatted about this with Chuck Mantiglia of Chuck's Trucks for my truck and he says he can get equal quality with the Ford "bugs" at a better price than Sanders. Stu

 

I'd be mildly curious how much better Chuck's price might be over the traditional vendor, not that I really care enough to spend the extra money. I'm not building anything to that level of detail. From what I've seen from most replacement glass vendors, and I'll admit my experience with this type of thing is with the later 1960's tempered and curved glass, is that it's significantly more money for the "bug". You've got to really want it to go there.
