Does it feel like it is missing while you see the white smoke?

White smoke is unburnt fuel. You could have a loose UVCH on one side. Check all the wires going over the VC to make sure no chaffing is going on. Could be injectors.

If he had a 6.0, yes...

Since this is a 7.3, you may have an injector that's headed south or your UVCH may be coming loose.

You may also need some new o-rings on your injector. Depending on how old it is, you may just replace the injector with a reman one from Clay: Riffraff Diesel: Stock Rebuilt Injectors

Its has plenty of get up and go power and has never smoked, how could i figure out which injector to replace? Or just replace all 8? I just rebuilt the hpop and put new o rings on lines and fuel housing, and what is the UVCH?

Black smoke is poorly burnt fuel, white smoke is unburnt fuel on our 7.3

Apparently you need a scan gauge that performs the buzz test. You can search on Youtube "7.3 injector buzz test" and get an idea of what's going to happen, what to look for, codes and whatnot.

If your truck can make it, I can meet you somewhere around FM 1960 or somehwere in Katy.

Raw diesel at the tailpipe, in the cab, or standing in front of the truck?
