HELP !! Steering Column Problem
Hello fellow Truck enthusiats I need some real help..... Been away from home for a few months ,and my daughters 77 F-100 steering column took a dump specifically the shift collar broke. The big problem is that we were trying without any success to find a replacement column. So now it looks as though LMC is my only option to get parts to rebuild it , but I was wondering if anyone out there in FTE land could possibly direct me to a supplier of rebuilt or used steering columns. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.....

If only the shift collar broke, you don't need to replace the entire column. I've replaced several collars over the years. It's not that big a job. I've replaced the shifter tube in my '76 before. That's a bigger job, but still not that bad.
You didn't mention whether this was an automatic or a 3 speed manual. I get my shift collars through my local NAPA store.
