Boss Manifold and Throttle Body

Hey guys, I've got a 2014 5.0 with 3:55 gears, Flowmaster super 10 cat back exhaust, and 5 star custom tunes. I'm going to be ordering a new Boss 302 intake manifold soon and getting new tunes for it. My question is, will a BBK 85mm throttle body add some extra power from just the manifold? Or am I better off just getting the manifold itself? Thanks in advance guys

You probably would see some gains over having just the stock throttle body on the BOSS intake, but there are some threads here and on F150.net where it was confirmed that the design of the head is different between the two 5.0s and you will see negligible gains installing the BOSS manifold.

In fact, the on test truck they did test actually lost power installing the BOSS intake.

Do you have a link to that? I haven't heard of losses on the manifold but if that's the case it would definitely change my mind

They are two different variants. It wont work. Even if it mated to the heads, the boss manifold is for high rpm breathing. The F150 version is torque biased. I have a 2014 Coyote in my F150. I advise staying aww. You're better off with your tune/setup or seeing what Roush has for the F150 engine.
