Its a smoker.....???? Too much!!! and burning oil....

I have a 2008 first gen 6.4l
SCT tuner, with exhaust. It does still have the EGR system

Last summer I had it in the shop and they did a complete new EGR system. Was loosing coolant after replacing loads of parts they finally did the head gasket. Put ARP head studs in it at that time.

So....lately the truck has been blowing smoke...looks to be black. At idle and on the skinny pedal there is a smoke screen! The tuner is set on towing. The truck is burning OIL. Coolant level looks good. Not sure what would cause the oil loss....

Any thoughts?????

Take the tuner out, hopefully your under 100k and have Ford fix it!! Im betting its 1 of 2. EGR cooler meltdown or down injector flooding motor with fuel..

I'd look at injector issues possibly.

As said by Hockman. Run it on stock power and see.

Truck is off waranty.
The DPF was taken off so if the stock tuner is removed it will go into regen within a few miles.
How is it possible to loose oil with a stuck injector?
I was thinking turbo....?

pulled a few codes from my SCT tuner...

U0115
U0100
U0101

any links to find what these codes are?

Also pulled the intake boots off to the turbo on both sides and found BLACK and wet and looks like a bit of oil....

If it is the turbo what part of the turbo failing would cause this?

U0101 is just a communication error. The others I do not know.

all 3 are network faults. remove lower cac boot from cac check for excessive oil. check crankcase for over full level. remove down tube from back of turbo and check for oil in exhaust

x2 condensation. You have to check when warm.
