Any suggestions on how to get rubber trans mount out of cross member .
Yes I already removed the bottom plate
Oh yea its my truck 1949 M68/F3 .

 

I just did one about an hour ago.
Started a chisel between the crossmenber, and the rubber, then a long pry bar.
Had to stand on it and bounce, wedge it in, pry, wedge, pry.
Came out pretty well.

 

I did similar, started with a chisel and BFH to open a gap and then drove a big pry bar in there. Put a jack under the end of the pry bar (yeah, lazy I know but saves the back) and levered it out. It's an extremely tight fit. Use some rubber grease on the new one and clean out all rust before installing, I used a trolley jack and timber spacer to press the new one in, it lifted the truck before it was all the way home. The bolts pulled it the rest of the way in.

 

Iwill get a larger hammer and reapply myself . I just want it out of the xmember so I can trim it down to make a little more clearance for the T5 trany .
