F250 NOOB
Hello Ford men and women.
i recently just purchased my first Ford, recently had nothing but GMC trucks.
(please be gentle..lol)
anyways its a 2001 f250 reg cab 5.4 with 139,000 km.
$3900.
i am happy with it so far, runs great and drives smooth.
having been driving ford work trucks for many years now.
both gas and turbo diesels, i realized ford f series is the *****......
happy to have made the jump to ford.
i look forward to viewing this web site for tips and stuff.
also if anyone here could tell me what to watch out for, in regards to my vehicle and its problems, if any, that i might look forward to being aware of.
thanks in advance
Clint.

thanks
it was a former city of Toronto truck, a sander i believe, and or a road side truck. the front end is like it just came off the lot and no signs of plowing, the bed has rust in it in patches, the outside of the box is great.
the rust is not even all that bad either.
but the truck has been retired, and the rest of her life will be more comfortable ....lol
it will be baby'd now.

here are some pics
the cropping was done because i could not find a program to black out my plates..lol
other that the truck missing 2 black wheel hub covers on the rear and some minor rust that i sprayed over with, and the cover facing of the cup holder in the interior, and some dirt/grime that needs attending too, the truck is in excellent shape, being a work truck and 10 years old.
my guess is that the municipal employee driver of the truck was a very easy going driver, and clean. by the looks of things and feel of the truck.
i am very happy so far
once you go Ford, you never go back !

Other than cosmetics, don't worry about the cup holder, they suck anyways and are unusable except for huge soft side soft drink cups.

Nice score on the F250. Very nice truck to I love white trucks. I don't know much about the 5.4L but I have heard they are good engines. I think I have heard of exhaust manifold bolts breaking off buy I may be wrong I don't know much about 5.4Ls I am more of a 6.8L V10 guy. I wouldn't go against GMCs they have nice trucks too (like the 95 body style sucker right here for those years espically white.) Your up in Canda right you met Gigger yet he is a good guy is also another white truck guy. And I wouldn't say you never go back but maybe you will never like another truck like a Ford.

The head unit was the first thing I replaced in mine. I see you have am/fm. Mine came with a cassette deck (2004 model). I picked up a pioneer with Bluetooth for my phone from crutchfield.com. They have a complete install kits included which are pretty handing. Nice score on the truck. I'd say you got a damn good buy!

I do know that BigpidDaddy the only thing though 2 more cylinders is a big deal. it is hard to keep up with all these engines I know look at all the trucks I have in my sig I have to know almost everything about each and every one of them and yet I still want to learn about more engines.
