I found the turbine rims on ebay, same as the tires to go with them. The background is the grain elevator at work. Sorry about the cruddy picture, this phone takes even worse photos than my last one did..

Well it's been a while since I've posted anything here, so I figured I would add a quick photo.

I took this as I was feeding cows a while back, and just really like the picture. Hope you all enjoy.

Well it's been a while since I've posted again. Over the last week or so I (with the help of my father and uncle) rebuilt my water pump (can't find a short-shaft pump for a '68 thunderjet) and tuned the Holley 780 that my uncle rebuilt for me. The ol' girl should be ready for winter.

Nope, sure can't. Its the same water pump used on a SCJ 429, which translates to $$$$$$... It is specific to 1968 and 1969. It has a 1/2" shorter shaft than a standard 460 water pump, which means the pulleys would not line up, and the outlet is also at a different angle than mine. Quite a pain in the ****, actually.. Still in love with my big block though, and the only way to get it from me would be to pry it from my cold, dead hands

Ah, I see. You can get it, you just don't want to have to sacrifice the family fortune for it!

bingo I don't feel like spending $500+ on a USED water pump. The $40 rebuild kit, seemed to me, like a much better value.
