Trans tap

Looking to add a tranny temp gauge. I have looked online and I can't seem to find any info on how to do it. I have seen a couple different set ups from the usual tapping the pan to a block that you install on the hotside line to the cooler for the sensor if you can't tap the pan. I was looking to get the Autometer factory matched gauges if that helps.

There's already a factory plugged port on drivers side of tranny, near the second bolt from the front. It's 1/8 NPT IIRC. The proper sending unit is common.

Here I am late to the game.

Here is a picture of the sending unit installed in my 4R100 of my van.

It came with my Autometer Z series gauge.

Get a ScanGauge ll. Plug and play into the OBD ll port. Shows many functions for $159.00 or less.

I was going to say that, but then everyone would know I have no idea what an autometer factory matched gauge is.
