Fuel Issues

I could really use some help. I have an 88 F 250 efi 460. While running on the front tank. After it has ran for sometime, it will sputter and die. I switch to the rear tank the PU will take off again. I can switch back to the front tank and it will run like there are no issues. The lift pumps have been changed with oem a short time ago as well as the fuel filter.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Sounds like the front in-tank boost pump is not running at all.
Could be the selector switch on the dash or a bad front boost pump or wiring.

Other things I should have mentioned. I replaced the switch on the dash with oem and the fuel pressures ran I believe at 41 lbs. I confirmed the pump was running by disconnecting the high pressure pump on the frame rail and listened for the intank pump which was coming on. Another thing that somewhat baffled me. I disconnected the vent lines where they tee into the tanks from the charcoal canister. With compressed air I could only get air to go into the rear tank and not into the front tank. I even switched fuel caps from the front to the rear to see if it was a cap venting issue with no change.
Thanks
