new...to me flareside

I have a 95 flareside ext cab with the 5.0 almost everything on it works except the fuel pump on the back tank and the sending unit on the front tank. So i was wondering if i should go strait to buying a new fuel pump on the rear of should i try replacing the relay. Also the owner of the truck before me bumped into something with the back fiberglass fender and is cracked should i try a body shop or replace that too. Pictures will be uploaded tidy.
