Power steering hose routing question...

Where does the hose that comes out of the pump (right up against the hot side intercooler pipe) route to? The steering box or the hydroboost?

I've got a leak that started after I flushed the fluid, then went away and has now returned with a vengeance! Parts store has neither in stock so I figured I'd ask and maybe save myself some time from pulling the intercooler pipe and finding out.

Where is that second return hose at on the pump? The one that runs from the cooler to the pump. Is it on the bottom of the pump reservoir?

Didn't know that was there. Might be leaking there.

That's got to be where it's leaking from. I can see a drip but the pressure fitting on the side up against the hot pipe is dry and not dripping. It also leaks overnight so that's got to be it. I just couldn't see that hose from up top.

Does it matter the return lines which way they are hooked up to the return cycle #7 and 8?

Do all are 7.3L have that cooler? I have a leak in mine system somewhere and can't find it. Its seems like its drips under the frame close to the drivers seat. I always thought I have no wine and its great. All at once a great wine and it took not so much fluid. Now I do have a slight wine and hate it, but still have to find the leak. Mine e99, didn't see the cooler on it and will have to look harder. I hate having not so good eye's. I don't see how you guys that where glasses can do it. I guess its just me, but I hate it. Did you guys see what Ford wants for the hose from hydroboost to gear box? $428.oo dollars, what a joke, hope its not that one.

The Ford manual shows all of the 7.3's with the little cooler, and the 5.4 and 6.8 as well.

The fitting on the pump for the pump-to-hydroboost hose on my truck failed the other day. The little C-clip inside let go. Totally hard core workout steering and stopping the truck with the PS sytem down. Glad it wasn't my wife driving, as she would NOT have been able to stop the truck or steer it in any form or fashion.

Wow glad you got it stopped. Haven't found mine yet but haven't had much time to work on it either. This weekend me and my son plan to do both our trucks, oil changes etc., I should find it then with a good set of eye's. I forgot, its going to rain here so it mitt have to wait.
