WW, EBV delete, other mods driving impressions
I did this round of fixes/upgrades because I was having higher than normal EGT's, low on power and slow/lazy boost. My truck would make 21psi on my 60t tune, but it would take it to almost before it shifted to do it and would drop back to 17psi after it shifted. And pulling my racecar trailer (24ft enclosed about 9k loaded) it was hard to keep the EGT's under 1200.
FYI all my boost numbers are off the hot side, thats the way it was when I bought the truck.
Parts list:
bellowed up pipes
center cartridge with WW
EBV delete pedestal
EBV delete high flow outlet
6637 filter kit
new ICP
I thought I had a up pipe leaking, so I ordered them, the EBV delete pedestal and high flow outlet. Removed the charger and up pipes, started on the charger and noticed a few corners chipped on the turbine side so I torn it completely apart and found this.
I was kinda releaved since I couldn't find anywhere the up pipes where leaking. Ordered a center cartridge from clay, thats where all my parts came from, and put everything back together.
Drove the truck for the first time tonight, I've had my truck for going on 4 years and it never had a muffler on it when I bought it, and it would never whistle out the pipe. It does now big time! From a dead stop to 80mph on my 60t tune it makes 23psi the whole time and the EGT's never got over 900 with the truck empty. The boost builds alot faster and the truck runs down the road alot cooler, 600-650 at 55mph. I dought that turbine wheel was ever 100% since I've owned the truck!
