The only Dodge Discussion Thread on the forum (I think)
Everyone knows that we Ford Trucks are the best trucks and cars in the world. However, that doesn't mean we're the ONLY trucks and cars in the world.
Do you know anyone that has a Dodge Ram?
What about a Dodge Caravan?
Or a Charger?
Discuss all things Dodge in this thread. First, take a look at the rules of this thread:
1. NO flaming or bashing Dodge or Chrysler just because they aren't Fords. If you don't like them, then don't come on here. Simple as that.
2. You are more than welcome to compare the engines, horsepower and other technical stuff of Fords and Dodges. However, don't let it trigger flame wars.
3. If someone likes or doesn't like a certain Dodge vehicle, respect his or her opinion.
4. You have the right to express your opinion about a certain Dodge vehicle. However, do not express it in a profanity-filled rant with no real point.
Other than that, have fun.

only newer dodge experience I have had is with a lady friend's of mine. She has a 2006 dodge stratus 4 cylinder. Has been a good car for her,no major problems. Just oil changes and brakes. Only dodge I have owned is a 1979 dodge ramcharger with the 318. Built like a tank, and couldn't break it,but it was a gutless wonder. Should have found one with the 360.

My Ford Dealer had a 2009 Dodge Caravan SXT. It looked pretty cool actually. Its controls were logically laid out, it had a cool rear DVD player for the 2nd row passengers. It was cool.

Also, I'm happy that they announced in May that the Dodge Caravan is NOT going to be discontinued like originally planned. Because that move would've caused Dodge to lose a lot of money since they make a lot of money off Caravans.
Instead, its Chrysler counterpart, the Town and Country, WILL be discontinued.
Who thinks not discontinuing the Caravan was a bold move.

i actually don't car for the look of the new chargers but the challenger hit the nail right on the head for great looks IMO i owned a 2002 ram 150 extended cab and to this day it was the nicest truck i ever owned but the tranny started slipping really bad i would have to warm it up for about 5 minutes before it responded the way it should i found out that the tranny rebuild was more than i originally gave for the truck so i sold it/ traded it for my 88 ranger and $1000 cash so i broke even...... i love the cummins its a great motor but through my experience the auto trannys are junk and the front end is weak and really expensive to rebuild (my cousin has a 2001 that the front end broke as he was exiting the interstate on an off ramp and it cost him over $1500 and that was right after a $2800 tranny rebuild 3 months prior)...........does anyone remember the older car called the dodge aspen? buddy of mine has an aspen r/t with a hopped up 360 it is a screamer but i have only seen a couple other than his in real life ......i think they should bring it back

Not real clear why we're having a Dodge only discussion on a Ford truck site but, I'll play.
I think the Ram HD's are good looking and very tough in deed. I may even consider one if..............
My neighbor has an '06 1500 V-6. It's been a great truck, in fact flawless to this point. The interior to me oozes el cheapo.
Dodge is the fastest growing car company right now because they lost the most market share when the auto industry took a dump on itself. Stands to reason when the overall build quality isn't there to bring people back even in a depressed market.
Dodge is selling well right now, they've lowered their prices and added great incentives. When they regain their foothold, I'll wager that they will again become as expensive as Ford or GM. If that happens, why choose a Dodge product over the competition?
As for any of their vans and sedans, NO Thanks.
