So which is it?
Either way, you are looking for a handout. Go talk to Oboma
"I had them but I had a person helping me restore my truck and halfway through the restoration he quit stole all my materials and tools to get the truck done and now wont give them back. "
Or
" The previous owner tore this thing to bits and didnt put anything back together right. Now I am left trying to fix almost everything on the truck. I need alot of replacement parts and dont have any income."

If you can't afford the bolts right now wait until you can then offer fair price for what you need. Duct tape them tail lights to the bumper until then and away you go! (if you need the truck on the road)
Box bolts just ain't a life or death type of thing and are small potatoes in the over all scheme of things young or old either one.
Add to that the box bolts for these trucks? they tend to be a hot commodity with all the rehab going on constantly, hard to come by and tend be pricy when/if can get em.
Myself I need 4 more to make up the full set I need, have money for em but won't be paying top dollar for any OEM bolts.
Grade 8 from the hardware store will work just fine. Or get what you need at a place like "TSC", and get the bolts nuts and washers paying for them by the "pound" rather then per piece at a hardware store and its even cheaper yet.
Even if doing a full restore and want everything OEM perfect? hardware store bolts will work until OEMs can be had/afforded.

no one will hire a nasa engineer when they have 16 year old kids lined up around the block that will work for $10 per hour.

I was thinking the same thing. Nasa engineer is OVER qualified and will treat any job as beneath them

But, it all depends on the job. I doubt anyone would want to hire a Nasa engineer to dig ditches if there are willing non-engineer people available.
However, I doubt Nasa would hire a laborer to do an engineering job building/designing the Mars Rover.
