In the picture here, am I supposed to shove the hose on all the way through the elbow to the base of the pump, or just up until the bend? How to I make that bend, as some elbow grease hasn't done it yet. If my hose was the yellow area in the pic, it only pushes on to that point. Am I supposed to round the bend on that one?

 

Yep, near the bend then postion the clamp just past the flare.

 

Thru 1977 steel reservoir P/S pump: P/S pressure hose has fittings on both ends, threads on. P/S return hose has fitting on gear end, rubber hose on pump end, clamps onto P/S pump elbow.

1978 and later plastic reservoir P/S pump: P/S pressure hose has a straight tube with an o-ring at the pump end. Connects to the pump using a qwik connect fitting, other end threads onto gear.
