That's a nice looking truck!
I am not sure if you can do a signature or sig pic yet, since you're still a new member. Some things like this either require 25 posts or to be unlocked by a moderator.
It s all done through the "User CP" button that you see at the top, left side of the screen and then there are links along the left hand side of the screen that will let you edit your signature, etc.

I sure enjoy this one, it's getting about 18 1/2 mpg on trips and 15-16 back and fourth to work.
I changed out the 4:10 gears for a set of 3:55's I can't tell much difference towing either.
I even pulled it in a local Fair pull this year. I pulled in low second and should have been in low third. It got wide open about 100 ft and set on the rev limiter until about 250 ft when the sled hit it and it pulled down to 2700-2800 and just held there until it spun out.
I would have been gaining speed in the middle of the track if I had been in third.............
I have quit driving my 2002 lightning since I bought my 97.
I love it.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words............ My truck picked up mpg after the down pipe, then after the tymar style air filter, and picked up some more with the gears and chip.
It started off below 14 on the highway I went to Schaeffer oil and picked up some more, it is still getting better after every long trip.

Its not that I don't like it, it gets to a point, I guess close to the torque peak that it rings with a crisp note (I guess thats a good description) like a gas V8. Its not bad, just different or unique..........
It just puffs and flutters at lower rpms...............
I know a gas V8 sounds completely different through a single exhaust.
I wonder what it would sound like dualled out through twin turbos one on each bank

Wow that sounded good. I looked at some of the other vids of that truck and he has the intakes going through the hood and exhaust stack coming out through the cowl area, or that's what it looked like.
I wonder if you would have enough room to run twins and get both exhaust down beside the engine and out the back?
That truck looked sweet blowing smoke out both sides in the rear.
