95 VAN 5.8 into a 97 F250
My buddies 97 HDF250 is tired, burns oil and leaks everywhere. We found a 95 Van that is being parted with 5.8. Will any of the accessories be interchangeable. (exhaust manifolds, pan, etc)
It is a 120k farm truck. Only does about 5k a year now but it guts used EVERYDAY and plows snow all winter, so he wants it to be reliable, but for what it is, it is not worth putting a reman engine in it
His manifolds are cracked, pan in rotten, dipstick tube is rusted off. Think you get the point

The acessories are all the same. The van may have a saganaw pump but I don't think so.
The manifolds I think are the same.... I had a pile of parts and when I put motor in so I can't remember. The oil pans are different. The vans usually are a center hump. So a pan is cheap, last one I bought was $65. Steam clean and reuse the truck pickup tube, most of those I buy require a new pump because they always change flange on new pumps (whenever Im in a rush I get screwed).
It was an easy swap... Other then the van part.
