My 1996 F150, 5.0/302 starts most of the time but sometimes won't.
When it won't start it turns over but won't start. It has shut off a couple of times while driving. When it does run. it runs and idles great.
I have replaced the Altenator, Starter Solenoid & Fuel Filter.

 

Check your wires around your coil, I don't see a connector working loose but maybe it was bumped or something. Or Ignition maybe? It sounds like your "hot" wire from your ignition to you coil is losing conectivity somewhere. I'd start with a new ignition in the column. Stupid easy to change.

But you'll be like me and have a door key and than a seperate key for your ignition. Someone tried to steal my truck when I was on deployment but couldn't get the screwdriver to work in the ignition.. buggered it up pretty bad but the key still worked after I finangled it in. Replaced it asap when I got back.
