His mall crawler isn't the "****" like he thought it was. Makes me smile. And yes I would rather drive around in the VW.

Now all we need to see is a Vw Tiburon V10 TBI hauling 20K plus pounds of something and thier will be no need for our trucks.. But ya I will stick with our 7 fords (and unfortenly to say in this thread since Chevy is being put down our 85 Chevy G20 Sportvan which luckly isn't a diesel.)

Here are some stats

"The Touareg sports a 5.0-liter, 90-degree diesel V10 with an 18:1 compression ratio fed by twin turbochargers. The diesel-fed mega-mill is capable of an impressive-for-a-diesel 310 horsepower. Pfffft. The oil-burning Touareg stumps-up a mind-numbing 553 ft.-lbs. of torque at 2000 rpm."

He might have had a chance if he had put his truck in 4WD. Rear wheel drive and no weight in the bed doomed him from the start.

Assuming shift on the fly could he have put it in 4hi and help himself when the rear started slipping

The VW has automatic AWD and power and grip would have been directed accordingly right from the start

He probably left it in 2wd assuming he was going to win.... but these tug-o-war deals always boil down to traction. So it was basically a AWD suv pulling a 2wd pickup.... He shoulda put it in 4wd to begin with and drug that guy around the block..... but whatever... its a chebby
