2 wheel drive F250 sway bars on 4x4 F150

My buddy has a super nice 1995 F-250 2 wheel drive with some pretty massive sway bars in his salvage yard, My question is would they greatly improve my 1995 4 wheel drive F 150?, my truck has front and rear sway bars but they look to be half the size of those on the 2 wheel drive F-250. They appear to be identical other than the diameter of the bars!

what's the problem?

Why would you want bigger bars? My understanding is that the bigger the bars the less body roll you will have. If you always drive the F150 empty then you are probably fine with stock bars. If on the other hand you will be carrying heavy loads, the bars will improve handling. But then you will need bigger heavier tires. Maybe you need to just go get an F250 to go with the bigger bars.

The reasoning behind my question is that many years ago, SPORT TRUCK magazine had an article stating that LIGHTNING F-150 had the same sway bars as the F250/F350 two wheel drive trucks. If you have ever driven a Lightning, you know how great these trucks ride and drive. I can get these bars for zero dollars, so I was wondering what other owners think. Thanks!

flat corners

There is no doubt it will go through the corners flatter and with more grip. I am planning on putting bars my 59 f100 just so I can have better control in all situations. it is dangerously wobbly, rolling and unpredictable in anything other than straight forward motion. Let us know how it works out. Should be an easy easy upgrade.
