Short bed dually?

I have heard rumors that now that Ford is offering the 5th wheel prep package on their short beds they may bring back the short bed dually. Has anyone else heard this? I would like to see that.

The fifth wheel / gooseneck package is available on the SRW shortbed trucks. That said, I wouldn't look for a return of the shortbed dually anytime soon. They discontinued it due to poor sales several years ago.

Just saw one last weekend in MN

I was driving down the hwy north of Twin Cities and saw a new silver short bed DRW. I do not know if it was a factory built or custom job. Black or White were the only previous colors available so concerned that it is a custom job.

I wanted to do a U-turn on the freeway to talk to him to find out. I am on my 2nd CC SB DRW ('00, '04) and it is getting to be time to update.

Any additional info would be great, thanks.

I know this is sacrilege but the other morning I believe I saw a brand new Dodge dually shortbed. But it couldve been their MEGA CAB with the dually which I think makes the bed shorter.....but inst that a short bed if the bed is shorter..... It was a Dodge though.

Your right Dodge does offer a short bed dually with thier Mega Cab trucks. Dodge is coming around but I'm still not a Dodge fan.

Some light reading

This has been covered in other threads here before:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...short-bed.html

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...box-years.html

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...000-sd-le.html

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...lly-years.html

They got discontinued after the '08 model year and they aren't in the 2013 order guides as of right now. That's not to say they won't add them but as of now, they're not showing anything available in an F-350 DRW with any shortbed combination.
