Cool. You should write up a detailed how-to article and post it here on FTE.

That's Mustang fuel tank, right? How about some insight on how it is mounted and details on the filler neck?

thanks hio silver,

its pretty easy on cutting the frame. short bed is 16 inches shorter then a long bed. just measure cut weld and gusset. if you do it right all the bolt holes should line right up.
yes its a mustang tank. mounting is also easy. front is mounted on a piece of angle iron welded to the frame. back is mounted to the rear cross member flipped upside down. 5 bolts hold the tank in. filler neck is still in the works. have some great ideas. more pics to come.

Looks great. Nice job! It's kinda off the subject but, what sized tires are you running? How much lift do you have?

Look great. I'm intersted in how you do the filler neck as well. This is something I want to add one day.

I know! I could have just sold you the bed and it would have been easier for both of us! but you know as well as i do that the longer you have your truck the more times you change your mind. i found a bed on race dezert.com, had to go to San Diego to get it but thats ok. still have the long bed if anybody needs one.
