2001 F350 CC power set harness question

I have an '01 F350 CC that I recently just re carpeted and added captains chairs to. The passenger side is now power.
My old 40/20/40 seat were drivers side power seat only. The "new" passenger side captains seat came with the (round) power plug but was cut off to about 12" overall length.
The question is, can I tap this into the drivers side harness or to do it right, need to get a harness for both drvr/pass.
I would like to have the full on captain chair harness but they're really difficult to find online.

Try the junk yard and get the right connector you need. Be nice and don't just chop it out, some else might need the other parts left.

No junkyard around here has one. That's why I'm on here. Closet one is 150 miles away.

I don't know what year seats you have, but if it has the module and everything complete under the seat, if I remember right all you need is power, and I don't see why you could not tap in and use the same power as the driver's side. The worst that could happen is it blows the fuse if you try to adjust both seats at once. I seem to remember also some of these seats had two power sources, one was switched and one was unswitched.

The seats are out of a 2001 F350.

Can someone tell me why when I tap into the existing power seat harness on the drivers side and run that over to the passenger side power seat nothing happens?
I have power at that connector, verified w/ voltmeter. When I do a direct power source from the battery I have no problem....WTF!!!

If I were you, I would go to the store and buy a 30 amp circuit breaker, mount it near the battery. Run a 10 gauge wire directly from the battery + to the circuit breaker, and then from the circuit breaker inside to the seats. The diagram shows you only need to power a darkgreen wire with hot all the time.

The seat is powered from a relay that needs a common ground. The relay is a 20 amp. You have to make sure the switch "for the new seat" has the common to the motor and the relay to close the circuit.

This is why I would like to have an official wiring schematic. I'm hearing anything from 10A - 30A. Unfortunately my '01 Workshop manuals Vol 1 & 2 don't have them.

All relays work the same, Just be sure you under stand the switch wiring which is easy with an ohm meter.

You don't need any relays if you have the control box with the seat. Autozone has the diagrams you need on their site for free.

This one doesn't match your wires?

I'm looking for wiring diagram from the fuse block to the seats. I already know what's under my seats.
