suspension parts opinion
I just got a lot of ordered parts to redo my front suspension in the mail.
The ball joints I got fit, but are not the same. One side is greaseable and appears a tad bit more sturdy. The other not greaseable., The same thing with the outer tie rods. The companies are "one source" for the ball joints and "auto extra" for the tie rods. The greaseable parts really appear to be "Moog" and say "Federal Mogul" on the box. I think "one source" and "auto extra" are just kind of middle men and they box with their name whoever they contract with. I complained about the ball joints and they are sending me a matching one. The outer tie rods came in a separate shipment. So I haven't called yet. If I do install the mismatched parts (again, they'll fit) which side of the steering and suspension takes more stress?
I know I got cheaper parts, but realistically the truck will only be around for about 50k more miles, It's 2wd, Goes 99.9% on roads and does very little hauling and towing. Plus money is tight. It needs these parts as I have been chewing tires. Thank You in advance.
