I have a 312 v8 55 f100. i am using a holley 6949 1 carb. the problem i am having is how to hook up the linkage to this carb. the 6949 uses a ball that is part of the carb linkage. i am thinking of using a threded rod and dont know what to use on the ball side. any suggestions?

The connector that snaps over the ball was a pretty common piece on a lot of vehicles, check out the older carbed vehicles in the u pull yard. They may also be available from Lokar or Holley as well as Edelbrock, Summit, etc..
