weird acceleration issue

I have a 1989 5.0 speed f150,
When i start the truck it idles fine right near 1000rpm probably 850-900? When i give it gas though it wants to stumble for a second then it will even out and be fine. Any ideas? Car sat for about 2 months. New battery and fairly fresh gas, new spark plugs and wires from previous owner.

Thats around what i was thinking based off of other threads i searched. Any idea if the fuel filter is easy to replace on these? Or is it in the tank.

The filter should be on the left side frame rail. Easy? Depends if you have the clip style connectors or spring-clip/garter spring style. The latter can be a bear to get disconnected. It takes a special tool, readily available at most parts stores, and a few douses of lubricant to get it broke loose.
