Project 96 chevy assassin
Starting out with 96 eddie bauer 5.8
When i bought it i didnt care if it had a lot of problems.. If i wanted to part it.. I could double my money..
As i looked it over
+
mint interior
New p/s lines
New oil pan... Gasket.. Possibly pump too
New water pump a couple years ago
Roller motor
Came with shackle brackets
-
Broken rear passenger shackles..
Broken front drivers coil
rotted rear brake lines
trans line leaks.. Fixed already
Rear diff gasket leaks.. Easy to service it..
Not a bad buy.. But it was used for a plow truck.. So the chassis is pretty rusty
Ill do some magic to it and it should come out pretty

but not sure about this 96.. but the frame is pretty rust and chunks of it are coming off.. it can be sandblasted and painted.. should come out like new..
it has been used for plowing pretty good.. if it lasted this long with a plow..
um the windows have been working before i took the plow harness off. has nothing to do with the motors..
something to do with the wiring.. ever since i disconnected the plow harness..
motors are cheap $50+/-

I see. well I can't wait to see the before/after pictures of the frame. hopefully it comes out really good and is still strong.
I get what you mean now, I am OK at wiring but not the best, especially with newer vehicles. with my truck I don't mind bypassing wires and stuff but on a 96 there are a lot of things that could go wrong. hopefully it is easy to fix and you can just swap a few wires and go.

Wiring gets crazy on the newer vehicles. I cringe thinking about having to re-wire something on my 2010 Ram. The Bronco isn't too bad but still a pain. The 68 however could lose all its wiring and I could re-wire it in no time.
Great start on this truck! However we need more pics! We'll forgive you since youve been sick Hope you feel better soon!
