Wheel Adapter

Is anyone using wheel adapters? My truck has a bolt hole pattern of 5x5.5 and I want a set of American Racing Torq Thrust or Rocket Racing Fuel and neither comes with this pattern. Is there backspacing considerations when using adapters, safty concerns...etc?

You didnt mention your purpose of getting them.

If you use the wheel adapters, it puts undue stress on the drivetrain, specifically the front end.

And yes, you should find wheels with more backspacing if you dont want them to be sticking out from the truck.

I have never used them, but had considered them at one point, did research, and didnt want to use them. Thats just me tho.

if this truck hauls much or otherwise works hard, i would advise against it. if its just a lightly used DD, it shouldn't hurt anything as long as the wheels have the correct backspacing adjusted for the thickness of the adapters

I believe we might go for it. The truck has always been a daily driver. Never used for hauling. The truck has never pulled anything other than a Chevy to the garage
